Rules for all public characters on site.

CrushChat is a creative platform that supports uncensored chats and an open-ended character creation process. Our community thrives on freedom of expression, imagination, and user-driven engagement. However, to ensure user safety, legal compliance, and platform integrity, the following rules are strictly enforced.

  1. No characters below the age of 18

CrushChat strictly prohibits the creation, use, or representation of characters under the age of 18 in any context. This includes any character that is implied, described, or portrayed as being under 18 years old, regardless of appearance or backstory. Violations will result in immediate character deletion. Users found to be deliberately attempting to create or depict underage characters will be permanently banned. Any circumvention of this rule through implication, coded language, or ambiguous descriptions will be interpreted as a violation.

  2. No Unauthorized Advertising or Promotion

CrushChat does not permit the use of characters, bots, or user profiles for advertising purposes. This includes posting external links, promotional content, or any material whose primary function is to drive traffic, attention, or monetary gain elsewhere. Characters that exist solely to promote products, services, or external platforms will be subject to modification or removal at the discretion of the moderation team. Requests for points, votes, or social media engagement are also considered advertising and are not allowed.

  3. No Spamming or Content Flooding

Users may not create multiple low-effort, identical, or nearly identical characters for the purpose of flooding the platform. Spamming includes, but is not limited to, the mass creation of bots with repetitive or nonsensical content, or any activity designed to disrupt normal user experience. CrushChat encourages creative diversity; abuse of the system for trolling or attention-seeking will not be tolerated.

  4. No Plagiarism of Characters

All users must respect the intellectual property of others. Submitting a character that is clearly copied or minimally altered from another user’s work is strictly prohibited. While thematic or genre similarities are allowed, direct duplication of profiles, dialogue, or defining traits without permission may result in the removal of the infringing content. Users are encouraged to draw inspiration, but not copy.

  5. No Use of Realistic PfPs Depicting Real People

Users are not permitted to use realistic AI-generated or photographic-style profile pictures (PfPs) to portray actual living or deceased individuals. Bots based on real people are allowed only if their images are rendered using the platform’s Anime-style model or other clearly stylized formats. This is to avoid impersonation, deepfake issues, and the misuse of likenesses.

Moderation & Enforcement Policy: The CrushChat moderation team retains the right to investigate and evaluate all content submitted to the platform. In cases where violations are unclear or context-dependent, the team will deliberate collectively and take appropriate action. These rules are enforced to protect users and ensure the integrity of the platform. Failure to comply with these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the infraction.

CrushChat Underaged Character Identification Guidelines.

To ensure the safety and ethical standards of the CrushChat platform, any characters or content that fall under the following categories are prohibited. These guidelines are used by moderators to evaluate whether a character presents as underage or violates the platform’s 18+ policy. Any character or content meeting any of these criteria will be subject to removal.

  1. No explicitly stated indicators of being underaged.
    • Characters must not be directly stated to be 17 years old or younger.
    • Characters must not have Personas, descriptions, or initial messages referring to the character as an infant, child, pre-teen, or adolescent.
    • Characters explicitly described as a "teen" are considered violations unless their age is explicitly specified as 18 or 19. While we understand that 18 and 19 are technically teenage years, without a clear age declaration in the persona, these characters will be considered underaged by default.
  2. No developmental indicators of being underaged.
    • Characters must not described as being in or undergoing puberty, or having underdeveloped physical traits.
  3. No canonically underage characters
    • Fanfiction or derivative characters that are canonically minors in their source material and not explicitly aged up in the character persona.
    • Fanfiction characters that are canonically both underaged and adult are considered violations unless explicitly stated to be an adult.
  4. No personality traits indicative of a minor
    • No characters may be described as having a personality or behavior typically associated with children or teenagers.
  5. No harmful acts against children
    • No character descriptions, persona, or initial messages that refer to, promote, or describe any form of harm or exploitation involving minors, regardless of context, tone, or intended fictional framing.
  6. User may not be described as underaged anywhere within character creation.
    • Characters must not describe the user as underaged within the character persona, description, or initial messages.
  7. No school enrollment (excluding higher education)
    • Characters portrayed as enrolled in daycare, preschool, elementary, middle, or high school are considered underage.
    • Characters in academic settings must be explicitly stated to be attending post-secondary or adult education (e.g., college, university, trade school). Ambiguous school associations will be considered underage unless otherwise clarified.
  8. No underaged side characters
    • Characters portrayed as having specific children, students, dependents, or other associated individuals who are implied to be minors must include age specification confirming those individuals are 18 or older.
    • If side characters are reasonably interpreted as underage and no clarification is provided, the associated bot will be removed.
  9. No underage-presenting PfPs or prompts
    • Profile Pictures (PfPs) must depict characters who appear to be 18 or older. Visuals featuring childlike facial proportions or immature body types will be considered underaged even if the persona, description, or initial messages specify the age as 18+. Character PfPs that appear underage will be treated as such.
    • Image prompts must not contain keywords or coded language suggestive of underaged characters (e.g., “loli,” “shota,” “young,” “teen body,” “childlike,” etc.).
Additionally:
  • Moderators may remove or reject content that is reasonably interpreted as portraying, referencing, or implying underage characters or imagery.
  • If a character can be clearly interpreted as an accidental or unintentional violation of the age policy, the moderation team will, at its discretion, either make minor corrections directly or contact the creator to request edits. In such cases, deletion or bans will not occur unless the issue is repeated, deliberate, or egregious. This policy is intended to allow for good-faith errors while maintaining platform standards.
  • Attempts to intentionally skirt these rules through ambiguity, euphemism, or coded language will be treated as intentional violations and will result in character deletion or account bans.

Criteria for Flagging Low-Effort Characters

  1. Insufficient Persona
    • Characters whose personas consist of only 1-2 sentences, or descriptions that provide little to no detail about the character's background, personality, or role.
  2. Minimalistic Traits
    • Characters whose entire persona is a list of traits without any narrative or context to give the character depth or purpose.
  3. Exemptions
    • Have a point value of 6 or more.
    • Include initial messages that demonstrate clear effort, showing well-thought-out dialogue, introductions, or interactions.
  4. Moderation Discretion
    • Although this system involves some subjectivity, it is generally evident when a character lacks effort. The goal is to create a more engaging environment where thoughtful and well-developed characters can be easily discovered.
